Playstation 2: Dancing With the Stars?

I just recently bought the Dancing With the Stars for Playstation 2 last night and I already had the dance pad for playstation 2. Here's the thing, I start playing it and the steps are a little different. Can anyone help me on that? I know that I have to follow arrows but there are feet that show up on the game. What do I do?
