I happen to have a copy of Plato's Republic and have been meaning to read it for some time. I finally have time. This isn't for school, it's just for interest. There appears to be about 30 pages per book/chapter in my copy, so I figured I'd read 2 of the books. I was recommended by a friend to read book 10 because it deals with censorship... but does anyone else have a recommendation for which 2-3 of the books I would get the most out of/were most pivotal?? Please briefly explain why those books are of interest, too.
About me: I am a chemistry student, so if there is something related to science that would be of interest. I enjoy political science and anthropology - so if there are chapters more on social structure than philosophy I would prefer that.
