Planting a garden in Florida?

i would like to plant a garden and i wanted to know what i could plant. i live in Florida, and i had in mind something along the lines of, tomatoes, peppers etc. I just wanted to know what would i be able to plant starting this time of year.
 
well i live in chicago and im growing herbs, lettuce, tomato, and peppers. i suggest u not grow lettuce, because they are hardy- built for cold weather. i strongly suggest u grow tomatoes and/or peppers, they grow GREAT in hot weather. u can grow herbs, it doesnt matter, if the sun gets too hot, the leaves get burned, so...yah.BTW TOMATO LEAVES ARE POISONOUS!!
