I am planning for a 3-day hiking trip in Texas this August. I would like the trip to be 20-30 miles long, total. I would like somewhere which has nice scenery and is away from urban sprawl.
Any suggestions? I am wide open for anywhere in the state, except Houston. How about Texas Hill Country? I would like to spend a day or two after the hiking in a city/town with a good bit of history/touristy things to do. I was thinking about something reasonably close to San Antonio or Austin.
