Which would colleges PREFER:
a.) someone taking spanish 4&5, and mastering spanish.
and some AP classes and some honors.
no after school activites, no clubs, no nothing. pretty much straight C's grade wise. [ap/honors are HARD]
or
b.) someone taking all average classes (cp) and getting pretty much straight A's in them. Quitting spanish after level 3. (That's all that's required.) A part-time job, voluntering at an animals shelter, and MAYBE an after school activity if there's time. [But not a sport.]
I'm writting a book as well, and I'm pretty confident it will be in the final stages of being published when I start sending out college ap's. I can also speak swedish fluently if that matters. So which should I go with, A or B? Going with plan B worries me becasue grades are what matter most, and colleges like you to take the most challeging courses you can, so would getting straight A's in college prep classes (standard, college prep, honors, advanced placement, <- the level of difficulties, standard being the easiest.) look like I wasn't trying?
I just want to relax my junior year, take 3 electives, and focus on more things in my life than just school, but still get into college, you know? So what should I do?? I'm really in favor of plan B.
