Naperville, IL Today Riverwalkmobile.com relaunched the WiFi Hotspot Directory, a database covering public wireless internet access locations throughout the United States and Canada.

?There are quite a few websites that provide HotSpot locations, but we fill the need of the user who wants to go online when they are offline? commented Art Nicholas, Publisher of the WiFi Hotspot Directory.

The WiFi HotSpot Directory has been greatly enhanced in its version 2.0 launch including over one thousand new hotspots as well as including support for not only PCs and Laptops but also, Palm OS, PocketPC, Symbian OS and even iPod devices.

?We looked at the devices wifi users choose to store important information and decided to support a broad spectrum of devices? explained Nicholas.

The WiFi Hotspot Directory is delivered each month via email including updated locations provided by leading WiFi providers. The Directory updates include helpful tips for users to get more productivity out of the HotSpot experience.

?Our goal is to make using WiFi Hotspots less of an adventure and more of an extension of their wired internet experience. To this end, we?ll be gaining feedback from subscribers and sharing ideas with HotSpot providers so that they can improve their service? stated Mr. Nicholas

Subscriptions are provided at no charge by visiting www.riverwalkmobile.com. Updates are sent typically the first week of each month. HotSpot providers can have their sites added to the WiFi Hotspot Directory at no charge by emailing [email protected]

Riverwalkmobile.com is a website dedicated to providing a better mobile experience for users through directories, newsletters and add on tools for computing and cellular devices.

Advertisments should really go in the classified section or at least in the General Palm Discussion, unless only relevant to a specific device. Please don't advertise by cross-posting the same thing on lots of forums.
Thanks

Be warned too that the Palm is a bit crap when it comes to public hotspots, as it does not work with the authentication schemes used by many hotspot operators, T-Mobile for example.

Palm's aware of the problem but as far as I can tell regards it as something for the hotspot guys to fix. Like that's going to happen, not!

I wrote up my experiences of trying to use hotspots with my T3 here, by the way:
