Plain phone

[Guy Who Needs To Know]

I am on Cingular with a Samsung x427m and am looking for a phone just for phoning.
Reception on the 427 is iffy, 5 bars to 1 bar to 3bars, etc.
I do not need text or internet or camera, just to make and receive calls.
Good reception and clarity are what I am looking for, and I do like the service availability throughout the U.S. and would like to stay with them.
Any reccommendations?

get an old nokia 6340i off ebay for next to nothing... It's a gait phone (which means it will fall back to tdma, or even analog if there's no gsm signal... The things work everywhere.

Nokia 6010. Great phone, built like a tank. I have heard really good things about the nokia 6030 too. Has a nicer look and better screen than the 6010.

6030 is pretty decent and so is the 6020. both very basic phones and usable.. even the motoorla l6 would be a good choice. but its a step up
