Place to buy CDMA phone - Newegg has none

I find it odd that Newegg or Chinese clones have no CDMA phones.

What would be the Newegg equivalent to buy PAYG phones?

I am hunting a small, well reviewed, good battery life phone w/ a good MP3 features. I want to use the phone w/ Moto S805 (good headphones)

The phone I am considering
1. HTC Mogul ( a little to big)
2. Moto Q9M/C

You need to make sure your carrier will activate it before you spend the money.

I know that in the US, Verizon and Sprint will activate their phones only, no others: Verizon branded device on Verizon and only a Sprint branded device on Sprint. Since you didn't say what carrier or where you were it is difficult to help.

DubDub is absolutely correct. As CDMA users in the U.S., our options for phones are not as open as a GSM user would be. Provider imposed limitations prevent the use of outside phones to be activated on most carriers. PagePlus, MetroPCS and Cricket will often activate other providers phones, but you should always check with the provider first, to ensure that they will activate it.

If you are on Sprint or Verizon, you will need to stick with an appropriately branded device to use.

I am thinking of using Page Plus or Straight Talk.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Moto F3 from Newegg for an emergency phone. I really like the size of that phone.

For some sometime I had been thinking of ditching my land line and going under contract w/ a nice PPC phone. Then I found this site and that has changed. I was hoping to consolidate multiple devices into one. As it stands I will keep using my Axim x50v, Grundig mini 300, Wintec G-rays 2 external BT gps and replace my Sansa Rockbox MP3 player with a small, MP3 feature rich, long battery , BT phone. I wish I had narrowed it down to a couple of phones but I have not. I did find several good review sites that allow me to search for CDMA and size but nothing within the $200.00 (and under) price range stands out. One feature I cannot find in the above configuration is water resistance, these phones are too large for pocket carry, most get bad reviews, and less if any are CDMA. If Newegg carried the Moto Q9M/C new that maybe a good option, I am not comfortable with cells phones off eBay from what I have read. Do I have to take three steps back to move ahead by buying "older" tech??? I am in a position where a mobile phone is a "must have" other wise I gladly ditch this whole thing.

It is like North Korea, Donald Trump, and Britney Spears created the cell phone industry; it just nuts. :silly:

I spoke to ST and their phones must be used.

I spoke to PPC (finally) and they will activate used Verizon phones.
Is a refurbished phone considered new or used?

The eBay seems to be my best option. I am down to 3 choices.

1.LG enV VX9900 VERIZON ( I would think more stable than WinMo)
2.Moto Q9M (Smaller, more practical, but w/ WM6 and smallish CPU)
3.Mogul ( Thinking may be nice w/ flashed Rom from XDA)

I would appreciate any device advice.
