pit bike help!!!!!!!!!!!????????????

hi. im looking to buy a road legal pit bike (then itl be called a moped?) anyway, what do i need to ride it? do i just do a cbt? but then do i need to have a provisional motorbike license or not? i have a full UK car license. im 18. im really confused
