Pioneer DEH-9 CD AM/FM Car Stereo buttons?

i Have a Pioneer DEH-9 CD AM/FM Car Stereo, I recently killed the battery in my car after recharging it and turned on the stereo and attempted to use the system when i discovered that the buttons on the unit on longer do the desired function... ex the eject button changes the station and the power button switches the equalizer??? any idea ...is there a way to rest the unit
