Pinch test: Normal time to snap back?

Cat just had Sub Q fluid yesterday after having a crash on last Thursday night. I'm really nervous he's getting dehydrated again but that's because I don't know when to be concerned as I'm new to being a parent to a CRF cat. I'm already adding a lot of homemade chicken broth to his special wet diet food already and he ate everything I laid out before him. I did the pinch test and it snapped back in 1 sec. 2 at most. Is that alright? His gum looks ok to me but I never checked out what the gums of a healthy cat is supposed to look like.
