I have seen this discussed in the past but still could not get a clear picture.
My problem is this:
I have a Nokia E61 which I used to sign up with Cingular. I was able to create an account on Blackberry.net and add my email addresses from Yahoo etc to start receiving messages on my Nokia E61.
However I decided Cingular was not for me and cancelled a couple of days ago and signed up with T-Mobile instead.
Thats when my problems began.
1) When I go to the T-mobile website to register myself it asks what device I have, and it does not have Nokia E61 naturally, so I just pick some other phone like a Blackberry. Then I click on the link that says Set up you Blackberry Internet Service, when I click the link, it says
We apologize, there was an error trying to access the service. Please click here to try again.
I noticed in the URL it has something called device type and my username its passing to the website, so I am wondering whether that has anything to do with why I get this message rather than showing me the blackberry website where I can register this blackberry.
Then I went to my phone and looked under services and the web browser which had a link which said Set up Blackberry (this was the one placed on my phone automatically when I signed up with cingular). There I tried to sign on under my userid and password that I had chosen with Cingular and sure enought I get the message my account has been suspended.
So I tried to sign up as a new user and I got the message saying Pin in use.
Some helpful folks in the forum have said in the past to call Cingular and have them "release" the pin. I called cingular and they were totally clueless as to what a pin was. They were asking whether its the lock code on my phone etc instead of understanding I was talking about a blackberry pin.
Added to that I can't even get to the t-mobile blackberry website in order to even try to see if it will work there, because of the message above.
Of course RIM conveniently does not have a support number to call because I am sure they could mitigate this issue since this is defined on their servers.
HELP!!!!!
