Pictures in Address Book Freeware . . . Sort of

If anyone (besides me) is interested, there is now a freeware app for putting lo-res jpgs in your address book on the T3. Site:

http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/contactphoto.shtml

You must also install jpeglib, and within the zip file is another set of zip files for individual models, one being the T3. This is some sort of replacement "contact/address book resource file," and if you do it incorrectly your address book won't open. Apparently you just use a file utility like Filez to delete it . . . but I wasn't taking the risk.

If anyone does take a look at this app (13k + 13k + 65k in size -- pretty small for the function it provides) . . . please post a response here.

I once read IIICRuled saying "I'll throw anything on there and try it . . ."

Well, Captain, here's your chance! Even Palm "Sprat or die" TealLover is going to hold off on this one . . . but it would FINALLY give us non-clie users a photo of clients in the address book!!
REASON: This is why I never tested the ToySoft Address Book Photo "beta," offered to me a couple of months ago (very, very kind of them) . . . I don't like "tweaking" the address book or replacing files having to do with its operation. Jamming 10MB in flash is okay though . . . . go figure.

I'd be interested in anyone's PRACTICAL TESTING results. Thanks!
