picking a car... help?

i am buying my first car, and i was wondering if anyone knew of a car with these features that is affordable. it doesn't matter if it is used...

i would like a car that has at least an estimated 40 mpg, can hold at least 4 folks, it has to be an automatic, and a leather interior...last but not least, i would like for it NOT to have much mileage...

You're in Hybrid territory if you expect 40mpg out of any car.

The Civic and Prius hybrids will do that but nothing else and niether of those cars come with leather or hold 4 adults comfortably.

The only car I can think of that would come close to all of your needs is the VW Jetta TDI. The tubo deisel Jetta gets over 40 mpg and comes with available leather seating, automatic transmission and 4 doors for adults.
