IDK what phone to get.
Chicago region 60623
Currently have a blackberry
what is the most reliable off the shelf cricket phone?

Personally, I wouldn't get an off the shelf phone. I don't like any of the phones cricket are selling and think you will be unhappy. I would get a cricketized, flashed phone. Just make sure it's done correctly. There are many capable people that advertise here in the Cricket for sale forum.

Now as far as a specific reliable phone, it all depenRAB on what is important to you. Form factor? Screen size? Ease of texting, emailing? Web browser? All kinRAB of factors come into play when recommending a phone. If you would share a little more, maybe it would be easier to narrow it down for you...

well it dose matter if he is in a AWS market then he really has no choice until the newer "PDA" like phones come out this month...we hope that is.

unfortuntely the EZ is not compatible to the chicago market.

can you wait another month or so? the motorola hint is problably your best bet. it is currently slated for an april release. everytime i bring up the blackberry on metro they point me back to the hint. it will work with cricket's push (kinda) email service and has a qwerty keypad.

it really depenRAB what features you want. i have yet to receive them, but the nokia 3606 launches monday and has a reasonable feature set, and i have generally been happy with nokia in the past especially for reliability. but the messager and r550 are also pretty decent.

well kick me in the *** and call me sally, I guess I wasn't paying attention about Cricket AWS in Chi....Check out the A100 or EZ, but if To0 is saying the EZ is solid, I would take his recommendation any day.

I got the JetSet. Most expensive phone but the best right now. 2mp camera, camcorder function, mp3 player, microSD up to 4GB (from experience), Email app. and EVDO. I tether the phone to my Palm TX. Works very well.
