and I need a little help...? Sorry if my english is not very good, I only came to this country about a year ago and I need some help understanding how to do the following two problems... Textbook is very complicated.

1) A car accelerates from 6.0 m/s to 30 m/s in 11 s. Assume constant acceleration. How far did it travel in this time?

2) A car slows down uniformly from a speed of 21.0 m/s to rest in 4.50 s. How far did it travel in that time?

Once my english gets better then maybe I would not have such hard time understanding these material... But now I really need to finish this for tomorrow and I would be very grateful for anyone who may help me.

1)v(final)^2=v(initial)^2+2ad
(900-36)/4.36=d d=198.2m

2)v(final)^2=v(initial)^2+2ad
(0-441)/-4.7=94.5m

there you go, i hope they will help you i didn't not list all the steps that is used to figure out the answers.
