Science Lab Report (Investigation 101.1)

Steps

1.Set up apparatus as shown in the diagram. Investigate how the length of the string affects the frequency of oscillation.(The length of the string should be measured from the point of suspension to the center of the bob.) Record your results fully. Look for a pattern in them.

2.Using the same apparatus, but with the ruler placed horizontally, investigate how the size of the oscillation affects the frequency.


Q1). A pendulum oscillates twice in one second. If the sring is made four times as long, what will be the new frequency of oscillations?

Q2). What length of pendulum would you use to produce a frequency of 1 Hz?

Q3). Could you use this for timing something
