Physics question, stumped!?

This is a little silly, but I cannot seem to figure out how the problem was worked out to get the answer that was obtained. Here it is, The x-axis is given by x=(21+22t-6t^2) and this is converted to 22-12t, but this is where I cannot figure out how the answer is 22-12t? Can someone break it down step by step, because I seem to have forgotten this? Thanks
