I'm having trouble figuring this question out even though it seems pretty easy...
A bullet with a mass of 0.0080 kg is fired at a velocity of 600 m/s at a 1.9920-kg wooden block backed by a spring with a spring constant of 5000 N/m. If the bullet remains embedded in the block, find the maximum compression of the spring.
