weight, velocity, and time.? I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong... A car accelerates uniformly from rest to 20.3 m/s in 4.67 s along a level stretch of road. Ignoring friction, determine the average power required to accelerate the car if (a) the weight of the car is 8.02 x 103 N, and (b) the weight of the car is 1.03 x 104 N.
avg P = F x v
I did this:
F = ma
F = ((8020/9.8) x (20.3/4.67))
F = 3557.3567 N
v = 20.3, so,
P = 3557.3567 x 20.3 = 7.22 x 10^4
I haven't done part b yet for the obvious reason that I don't even have part a correct, so help on at least part a please.
