I'm having trouble with 3 question in my physics homework, can someone please explain them to me?
1. A particle moves along the x axis according to the equation x = 1.97 + 2.98t - 1.00t2,where x is in meters and t is in seconds. part 1: Find the position of the particle at t = 2.90 s. part 2: Find its velocity at t = 2.90 s. part 3: Find its acceleration at t = 2.90 s.
2. A particle moves along the x axis. Its position is given by the equation x = 1.7 + 2.5t - 3.5t2with x in meters and t in seconds. part 1: Determine its position when it changes direction. part 2: Determine its velocity when it returns to the position it had at t = 0? (Indicate the direction of the velocity with the sign of your answer.)
I have been trying to figure them out but my answers aren't right. I'm looking for someone to explain what I should do. Thank you.

2. A particle moves along the x axis. Its position is given by the equation x = 1.7 + 2.5t - 3.5t2with x in meters and t in seconds. part 1: Determine its position when it changes direction. part 2: Determine its velocity when it returns to the position it had at t = 0?
