Physics Help about a question?

Alright i need help with this physics problem and I'm entire sure about which is the correct answer or if my reasoning is valid, here's the problem.

Consider the pair of identical blocks about to be simultaneously released from rest. Block A is completely free, and Block B is attached to one end of a massive chain, the other end held as shown.
When dropped, both blocks hi the floor below -- a vertical distance equal to the length of the chain.
Which block hits first?

Block A
Block B

and here's a link of a very crude picture that is shown

I believe block A will hit the ground first because block B has a larger mass thus having a greater amount of air resistance, not to mention as it drops the block will have a vector in the x direction increasing that amount of air resistance even greater.
