I had a full blown panic attack for the first time in Nov. 2009. Since then, I have randomly had more mild symptoms (probably like 5 days a week). The thing is, a lot of times, I will feel completely fine and calm when the physical symptoms hit. That makes it turn into even worse anxiety because i think "this can't just be anxiety, i am not anxious about anything, it must be something worse."

Does anyone else have physical symptoms when they don't "feel" anxious mentally? It honestly is affecting my life, i always have stomach pains, nausea, etc etc... have been to drs and nothing is wrong. Thanks for any responses.

I remeraber one winter when I was cleaning off my car in the snow, that I felt that I would never get over the anxiety and depression,I was feeling, throughout that winter. My daughter brought me a dog to help me,but I was too depressed to accept it.She took it back and gave it to a co-worker.The dog was returned to my daughter, who had told the new owner than there were no "returns".My daughter
did take it back, and back she comes to me with the dog.She lives 400 miles from me.I took the dog this time.It was the best thing I ever did. That was about seven years ago.My rat terrier is laying down behind me,this very minute.I love her as much
as anything in this world. The illness has returned, but my dog has been a life-saver
again. Never give up. Love Bill

I sometimes get the same way, so yes, I would say that it happens. I bet it is common. I have read that physical symptoms vary from person to person, so what sort of symptoms do you have?

Yes, all the time! I'll be sitting home alone watching t.v. and out of nowhere, a full blown panic attack! You're not alone on this.

I get that too. For example I woke up at 3 A.M. on Monday with a stomach ache and nausea, my usually anxiety symptoms. Spent the whole day with a tight stomach too and now today it is actually feeling better. Sometimes I think it is anxiety and other times I just don't know. But the feeling is the same whether during my anxiety or not. Other than the physical stuff I feel fine mentally, so it does happen on occassion.
