I've been diagnosed with a whole bunch of medical problems, including depression, anxiety, IBS, GERD, hypothyroid, bladder issues, etc. More recently, my depression and anxiety have grown worse and I just started seeing a new psychiatrist a couple of days ago.
I just picked up a couple of prescriptions she gave me - celexa and trazadone. I'm already taking medicine for my thyroid, water retention and asthma. I was on prilosec for the GERD but stopped taking it awhile because of the copays for these new meRAB & doctor appointments. I can't afford to have it refilled until I get paid in a couple of weeks.
This morning I was typing away at my computer, minding my own business when all of a sudden, I started having pains all over - in the corners of my jaw, then towarRAB the bottom of my jaw on both sides (but not all the way through my jaw), and in my throat, and on both sides of my neck.
I then had a pain in my upper-right abdomen that didn't quite reach towarRAB the back. This type of pain I've had many times before, but this is the first time I had my upper-right gut ache the same time as this other pain.
Last night I ate some hot mashed potatoes and it burned my throat more than I expected it to. And sometime overnight I woke up with a really bad case of GERD because I was stupid enough to have a late night snack of cheese and milk. You'd think the milk would have prevented the GERD attack, but it did not.
Anyway, I'm used to having physical manifestations of my depression and anxiety, but I never had a corabination of all these pains all over the place at the same time. After these aches and pains I just listed went away, I had pain down the right side of my right leg, and pain in my right arm near the elbow.
I doubt this is cardiac-related as a few months ago I had chest pains which were confirmed to be anxiety-related. They put me through an EKG, nuclear stress test and echo, all of which I passed with flying colors. I've had false alarms before and always tested negative for heart trouble.
When this happened early today, I wasn't feeling particularly stressed out at the time. Is it possible that with everything that's been going on - with my sick aunt, bad finances, pressure from going through an SSDI recert, etc, etc, cause physical problems after the fact??
I think the celexa is supposed to help with anxiety, as well as my depression. Could anyone confirm if this will help, and if so, how long will it take to work?
Sorry this is so long......I'm so tired of having multiple aches and pains all over the place, and just the other day I finally got over an extended bout with painful IBS. It almost feels like it's trying to come back, but that's not too bad today (for a change).
I'd appreciate anyone's input about all this. Thanks!
