PHP questions (any help wanted)?

I basically fried my brain trying to read books on PHP, although I still want to learn, any suggestions for books that VERY simply explain it?

Also, I want to put a comment box that submits the question to an email on one of my websites.....could I do this simply? Tutorial? Links? Advice?
