Hello. I'm new to php and html and am in the middle of some programming. Perhaps someone could help me as I'm having a lot of trouble. What i want to achieve is as follows:
The main page contains 3 drop down menus; occupation, hair color and gender. A secondary page (database perhaps?) contains names and is categorized by occupation, hair color and gender.
I want to be able to create a website where depending on the factors selected, the website will automatically return a number of results. For example, if i select occupation as plumber, hair color as brown and gender as male, i want the website to go to database and filter and return all names belonging to men who have brown hair and are plumbers.
I've done some searching on google and it appears that php and mysql would be the correct way to go about it. Am i correct in this assumption and does anyone know of some sample codes that could achieve the above results?
