Photoshop:Strange question about brushes.?

Okay, I have photoshop CS4 (And I'm assuming this also applies with any other photoshop) and when I'm placing a brush, there is usually an outline of the brush shown before I place it. Well, I don't know what I did exactly, but now the outline won't show. This upsets me, because I like the whole concept of preview. Is there some way to get the outline to show again?
 
how did that justr happen?...........am using CS4 from a long time...........ive never experiences such a problem!
