Photoshop Elements 3.0 RAM error. What do I do?

So I tried to open up my Photoshop Elements 3.0 but it said "Could not initialize because not enough memory (RAM)." I found some help topics on this and it said I need at least 192 MBs but the recommended is 256 MBs. I checked my system and it says I have 504 MBs. I've already reinstalled and restarted my computer several times, and it still won't open. What is even weirder is that a week before it was working fine, opening and everything, but then I left it off for a week to go on vacation and when I came back and turned it on it was giving me this error.
What do I do? I really miss my photoshop :(
