Photoshop CS5 files in CS3?

I am going to be purchasing Photoshop CS5 and I was wondering if I will be able to open the files that I create in CS5 in CS3 on my University computers.

Do I need to save them as CS3 files? Or will the CS5 files be compatible with CS3??!
