I have just installed Photoshop CS4 on my new laptop and have been experiencing trouble with the drop down menus such as the File, Edit, View and any drop down options at start up such as changing the new document size, mode etc.

Whenever I use my (wacom intuos 3) tablet pen to attempt to click on the menus they only open for a split second. I am unable to select anything. They open fine and STAY open if I use my laptop mouse buttons instead. So I am assuming this is something to do with the tablet compatibility? Or could it be something to do with the fact that my laptop's operating system is Windows 7? (Already disabled the automatic tablet PC function in Windows 7 so that can't be impacting anything).

Photoshop CS2 never did this to me on my old laptop.

Any known fixes for this? Is it some kind of set up option I haven't spotted yet? Has anyone else experienced this?

Any help would be great.

It could be compatibility issue, as windows 7 is still getting familiar with hardware and software. Visit adobe website particularly their FAQ to see if this is a known issue. You can also navigate through microsoft technet website and see if there is a workaround

It could also be because you disabled tablet pc function - try enabling it and see what happens!

Finally i would suggest you install it and try installing it again to see if that helps. Good-luck
