Hey guys, I'm just looking for a little guidance with these problems the on the first one im not sure why my answer was marked wrong and on the second question im just not sure how to work the problems if someone could help me i'd really appreciate it thanks!
1) write the symbol fir the ion with a 2+ charge which has the electron configuration of 1s2, 2s2, 2p6
the answer i gave was Ne^2+ but that was marked wrong
There's one more a photon problem with mutiple parts
2) The energy of a photon is 2.64 x 10^-19 J.
a) determine the frequency of the photon in s^-1
b) determine the wavelength of this photon in meter.
c) Barium imparts a characteristic green color to flame. The wavelength of this light is 551 nm. Determine the energy involved in KJ.
d) Describe the changes that which occur when hydrogen produces a line spectrum.
