im starting photography this year in school and my question what should i be looking for in a good Camera that's not to much money?

Ask your teacher what he/she recommends. You may be required to purchase a certain type of camera (most likely an SLR; possibly DSLR), and you probably don't want to buy a camera that you won't be able to use for class anyways.

If you want to get into it get a camera that lets you do things manually cause some cameras wont let you take photo's the way you want. Ask the dude at the counter.

I would suggest anything that is made by Canon or Nikon. Those are the two top camera brands, and Canon is a personal favorite of mine. You could try getting a used Canon XS pretty cheap, or a Nikon D60. Both are a bit outdated, but their image quality is definitely of professional standards. I have a Canon EOS Rebel XSi, and love it! And lens wise, I would just start out with a standard 18-55 mm, but it really depends on what kind of photos you want to take.
