I dont know much about photography but I am slowly getting into it. I have a Kodak Easyshare Z740 camera, I know its a little old but its in really good shape and I love the pictures it takes.

What I wanted to know is how do I take a picture where there is focus on an object to where it is clear and the background is blurry. Can my camera do this and if so what attachment do I need to buy to do it?

Not if you don't have a manual setting to adjust the depth of field or a macro/closeup setting on your camera. If what you have is a fully automatic camera, try changing the settings so that it focuses on what is in the center of your picture frame. Chances are you can't buy an attachment for this...you'll have to buy a new camera. I would buy a canon G9 since you have the option of using the manual settings.
