photography opinions... ?

editing is better
a photo can be great but tweaking is just like more colors to your painting. it can greatly improve your photo no matter how good it is.
 
do you think the best photography is unedited? Or do you think it is better for photos to be edited?
 
I think photography is just like any art--it has to be polished. Cropping and changing exposure/saturation is just fixing what your camera didn't quite get right the first time. Photoshopping your eye color or making everything except one thing black and white is too drastic for me. It ruins the natural, realness of the shot, but I guess sometimes it works out OK. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you know? I just personally only edit the saturation, temperature, etc. of my pictures, not the essence of it.
