Photography - Macro lens?

I have an Olympus e410 camera and i am looking for a macro lens.
I need a little information on the lens, as i've seen two different types both at completely different prices.

This one:

and this one:

i would like to know what the difference between them is and what i will need for my camera in order to take close up photos of nature

Thankyou

The first one is a screw on MACRO DIOPTER, this attaches onto your existing lens much in the way a filter does, and cheaply and effectively transforms any lens into a operational macro lens.

The second is a dedicated macro lens, which means it has a 1:1 ratio (or similar), and is purpose build for macro photography. In my opinion unless you're really really serious about macro photography, just get the diopter.

The first one isn't a lens at all. It's a filter and is not a macro lens. It screws on the front of a lens and makes it into a pseudo-macro, not as effective though.
