Could anyone give me some instruction on how to get an image like this with out pro lighting equipment (if thats really possible?) What would I use for lighting it, what would be the best settings to use, etc. I've tried to do something like this and it didn't turn out so well...it was really noisy and wierd looking. So any advice appreciated. Thanks!

I have a rebel t1i and I know how to shoot in manual, I'm just having some issues with learning studio type lighting.
