Photography? Does it matter what camera you have? ?

Well..i just love nature and just seeing things for how beautiful they are and i was thinking of taking up photography.. but i have a Kodak EasyShare M753 digital camera. It's not one of those professional ones ofcourse but is it good enough? Or should i get a more professional camera? If so..whats a good one thats pretty cheap? D;
 
yeah its good to have a good camera but u dont have to get like a 10 mega pixel camera or anything with a huge lense.

this is what i have it was 250 bucks when i got it. and it takes great pictures!

For certain things, equipment can put a limitation on what you can do, but there is nothing to stop you from taking beautiful pictures with the camera that you have. You may not be able to make 16x20 prints or crop out the center 20% of the image, but you should get very nice 8x10 prints if you use practically the whole frame.

It's more important to BE THERE and take the picture than to have the "ultimate" camera.

Now... If you DO want to step up, a Nikon D40 is a great choice. It's well under $500 for the body and lens, too.

If that's too much for you, look into a point and shoot with a larger sensor for some improvement in image quality.

A better camera doesn't make the photographer a better photographer. It's all about how you choose your subjects, your composition, your selection of colors and tones and contrast, etc. The camera only makes the picture quality better.
