photography combination images, ideas please?

Normally i would have loads of great ideas and take nice photos but im felling pretty i'll atm and want to take a film in this nice weather for my exam. I want to do some combination prints. I live near a really nice woods with a stream and my town is quite old with lots of cornish walls around. Any ideas would be great or photographers or your pics. my first idea was to block half of the lens off and take a pic with half of it the take one with the other half of the lens blocked off and then sandwich the two images. Im not too advanced either so if you could tell me how to do more advanced combinations it would help alot thanks
