I am going to a wedding later this month. I want to bring my camera to snap some pics, but I am not sure what the proper "form" is these days for taking pictures during a wedding/reception/etc.
Just watch the flash photography if it's indoors. It can get excessive and ruin their video if they have a videographer and it gets distracting for them and the other guests. If it's outside, flash away! I'm sure the couple would love it if you shared your pictures with them (the photographer never catches everything) and so long as you stay out of the way of the professional and don't make a nuisance of yourself pictures are a-okay.
Usually no flashes during the ceremony but other than that just common courtesy. If you get any great photos be sure to send some to the bride and groom!
