Photography AS sketchbook guidance?

Im doing my photography AS, and i picked the question involving colour, therefore i decided to do things in terms of flowers. I need some ideas as to what to include in my sketchbook, eg what to research etc... I have ideas for my final shoot but struggling with the development. help me please =]
