photography and studio lighting?

I need help finding a lighting kit to start with. I am a stay at home mom and would like to get started on studio photography. Im not looking to buy high dollar equipment yet so please dont refer me to getting something thats going to cost over $500! i have a budget and would like to stay under 500.

On the cheap, you can start out by using inexpensive reflector fixtures with light bulbs. They have a built-in clamp, so you can place them just about anywhere. The reflectors are available at home improvement centers and discount stores for less than $10 each.
