How do you make a Photo look more lively?
So I have Photoshop CS2 (yeah I know there's CS3 now but I don't have the money) and I'm trying to make a picture look more lively like with stronger colors...cuz it looks too dull.... I am no expert so I don't know how to do lots of thins... if you explain it to me step by step I'll understand.... I tried using like hue and saturation... but it didn't help... I also tried to use brightess and contrast... but making the picture brighter makes it look bad... please HELP... I WILL GIVE A BEST ANSWER (if there is one)

Use Ctrl+U to open hues then use the saturation slider and lighten to make the colours brighter. Hit colourise down the bottom and you can make everything that has tone in the picture one colour.

Also, use curves (I think it's Ctrl+M but it might be Ctrl+L) and drag the diagonal line up and down and it'll darken the dark areas and lighten the light ones, or vice versa, depending on how you use it.

Hope I helped.

Using hue and saturation and using brightness and contrast are two steps into making a photo look better. The other step is using selective color and messing around with that. There are many other steps that are complicated like using layers and the brush but I'll be here all night trying to explain that. The best way to learn photoshop quickly is to watch a couple tutorials on youtube.

try hues and stuff. I usually just mess around. Just like I said mess around with the contrast brightness and hues. All of it together will make an ordinary shot into a VERY good one.
