...electrolysis/waxing/etc.? If you want to be sure to get the details of the eyebrows - more specifically each follicle visible in the photograph, what are the best settings in a camera for this?
How about lighting - incandescent or fluorescent?
The idea is not to make the shot a "glamorous" shot but simply to have photos that document progress during electrolysis, a before and after eyebrow waxing, etc.
I've used close-ups in incandescent lighting and have set my camera to be focused in close-up environments. I did close-ups of each eyebrow including the middle between the eyebrows and also a further away shot of both eyebrows. I found that it was a hit and miss - there were shots that were just better than others generally because of less blurriness. However, I'm not sure I'm getting the detail I could be getting because I do notice that the incandescent makes the photos look on the warm side with a lot of red. So, I'm wondering if that wipes out the details a little. I do have the facial recognition turned off so that it doesn't blur anything. I just find it really hard to capture the details (I have it set to do 8 megapixels which is sufficient).
In terms of camera settings, there are some things I can set; here is the camera and manual I use:
Sony Cybershot DSC-T100
Sony Instruction Manual: http://www.docs.sony.com/reflib/docget.asp?manualid=94181
Thanks for any advice!
Should I enable the close-up shooting macro in my camera? That's what I've been doing and that's what people do to shoot flowers, etc. I'm assuming it would help get more of the desired details of the eyebrows and each hair.
