phones that connect to wireless internet

Just wondering if there is any phones that are able to connect to wireless internet? I live on a college campus so if they could it would save a lot of money over paying for verizon's service.
 
when you say wireless internet, do you mean DUN (using the phone as a modem for the PC) or WAP (using internet on the phone itself). Both require different plans and not all phones support DUN, but most (if not all) do support WAP.
 
I believe what he is referring to is a WAP phone that connects to WiFi connections that would be floating around a place such as a college campus. I'm am curious of this as well because in my research, at least so far, Verizon doesn't offer any phones that will connect to a WiFi network at this time. And also when I asked a few Verizon reps if there were any phones on the way with this feature they said they were not aware of anything of the sort. Which for some reason I just find extremely lame. My contract is up in a few months and I'm really thinking of switching to a network that offers more options for phones with WiFi support (namely AT&T).
 
i know the iphone can connect to wifi networks (and are highly hackable by nature). but im not aware of ANY motorola phones that can connect to wifi. but then again, i dont ever look for that in a phone.. if i want the net, I use my computer with Road Runner.
