Phone suggestion

Hey there.

I was wondering if you could suggest a cell phone for me.

I'll be needing a phone for work. This is, in a nutshell, what I'll need to do with it:

1) edit an .html file, preferably by using an html editor, but I can live with editing it in text format(like in a notepad-like program);
2)copy-paste links into that html file
3)upload it via ftp

It would be nice if it had a nice screen (since I'll be looking at it and reading small fonts probably), a QWERTY keyboard or touchscreen equivalent, a good battery life and relatively lightweight.

Asides from this, I'll be using it to browse the web, email, etc. No real need for any fancy extras like cameras and the like. I will be buying the phone in Portugal, and I'm not sure what models are available there, so if you could come up with a few that you feel meet the criteria and are overall good phones.

Thanks in advance!

First of all, we need to know the carrier, is it GSM or CDMA and the frequencies it operates on.

I recommend doing some homework on your own - give a few options of those that you like and that are supported by your cell carrier. You will generally get a much better response if you do some homework on your own.

And keep in mind, if the device isn't sold and supported by your cell carrier, then you will be on your own if something goes wrong.

Let's say the carrier is Vodafone Portugal, and I guess it's GSM.

I have nothing against doing my homework, I'm just looking for suggestions from people who may be doing the same thing or something similar with their phones.

That and I know absolutely nothing about cell phones in general, since I've only really used them for standard calling and texting, so it's really the first time I want something that actually needs to be more elaborate.

I just want to be able to narrow down my search to say 5/6 phones and then see what the better options are in terms of price/plan when I do get to Portugal.
