Phone name

I'm pretty new to these Android phones, have had a windows phone in the past.
My question is, On a windows phone, or ordinary phone for that matter, you can name it, so when you connect to other devices, be it bluetooth or wireless it comes up with the name you gave it. With this new HTC Desire, I cant seem to find anywhere that you can name the phone?? I have found the one in bluetooth, but I would like, if possible to name the phone so wirelessly it doesnt show up as HTC desire and a load of numbers?
I would like to simply name the phone????
is it possible?????
 
Yes I like to name my phone ,just go to your Bluetooth phones name touch change or edit touch the phones name and the keypad will come up for you to delete the old name ,put in the new one and save

yes I have already done that as I said.
I want to name the device so that everything comes up with the same name. At the moment if I connect via bleutooth it comes up with the name I gave it, if I connect wirelesley via my router it comes up with Android_610**********. I want it to come up with the same name.
