phone is completly dead suggestions???

ok, i have a BB pearl and i dropped it down a flight of stairs and now it is completely dead. no screen cant make calls, nothing... i dont have insurance but the phone is only 3 months old... i bought my phone from amazon.com and one of the local retailers told me there isnt much they could do. i didnt tell them i dropped it tho.. anyone have any idea what i can do??? thank you
 
It's hard to tell what exactly is wrong with your phone. I would suggest trying a local repair shop? If they can't help you will most likely have to buy another one.

Does it charge? Was it ever wet? Is the screen cracked? Is there alot of visible damage? Maybe if I had more info I could diagnose what the problem is.
 
Hopefully there isnt any board damage, which is usually one reason for a phone not powering up, even with a fresh battery. Let us know how it goes.
 
the phone has no visibile damage and has never been wet. the boards are fine, the phone does power up. when i do a battery pull and put the battery back in, the red light turns on for a few seconds and then shuts off, the screen doesnt come on.. when i call my phone it does ring but i cant answer, it just keeps ringing and i cant do anything with the phone... does anyone think there is a way i could possibly have this covered with the warranty or will i most likely have to buy a new phone?
 
You can try to do a warranty exchange but if they find user damage, they will charge you the full price of the phone. You are probably better off just buying a new one and trying to sell the old one. Check here for one:
