Phone Help - If I have verizon and I have insurance?

I have insurance for my Verizon Samsung Reality I had problems with my other reality took it back and got the red one with no problem . My phone has been acting up very badly turning off when I turn it on so I can see the battery charging screen , it freezes , it just keeps acting up I want to know if I will be able to get perhaps the Htc Thunderbolt discounted because Verizon doesn't sell the samsung Reality and I've read other questions about having insurance and people saying you have to get the same phone .
Also my Data plan is 150 MB
 
The Thunderbolt is a smartphone - you would need to upgrade your plan for data package (the Reality is only limited data). Verizon replaces with refurbs - they don't need to sell the phone.

I got my Reality last August, and I have to keep it going to next April. The only phone that comes close is the env3 (I don;t see the env touch any more and it anyway got horrible reviews).
