phone calls at night

Either a symptom of my anxiety or something totally different is my absolute terror of the phone ringing in the night. Heck, my wife can just sit there and not say anything for a few seconRAB and I'll go into a panic, regardless of the call's reason.

I lost an uncle ( found out by phone ) when I was a kid. It was the end of my innocence and the beginning of nightmares and OCD behavior. If anything, that screwed me up worse than my daily beatings and mental abuse.

I'm fairly normal by many standarRAB, function well in society and work, but I still cannot handle the phone ringing.
 
I can understand that, I am scared of the phone ringing at odd hours. When you have that trauma in your life you never get over it.
