Phone advice? (T-Mobile)?

Yesterday, I got a new Motorola Qlik to replace my old G1. I had a hard time choosing between the MyTouch and this one, and I'm not entirely certain if it suits my needs, I eventually settled on the MotoQlik because I like having a physical keyboard . Anyways, it worked fine for about ten hours after I got it, but all the sudden I stopped getting service EVERYWHERE. I was with a friend who has T-Mobile as well, and he has a crappy phone, but he had service, so I doubt its normal. Im guessing Im going to have to go back into the store and ask for help on that one (but any advice would be greatly appreciated). So heres my dilemma, while browsing through websites to try and find a solution, I discovered the up and coming T-Mobile's HTC HD2, it looks AWESOME and I really feel like that could be the phone for me, my only issues are that it hasn't been launched yet (it looks like around March 24th which is pretty soon) and that it has no physical keyboard (which I could get used to considering how awesome it looks). So should I fix the problem with this phone? Or return it and use my old G1 into the T-Mobile's HTC HD2 is launched, (money is not a problem by the way Im pretty sure I can find another 40 bucks to get the HD2). ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED I NEED ALL THE ADVICE I CAN GET. Thanks guys!
I just put my sim card back in my old phone, and I have full service, in the same place the Qlik has none.
